Time Synchronization Explained

Time Synchronization Software is the central place where all information on syncing time across the Internet with your PC. Some great utilities to keep things in sync.

AtomTime98This is the way to automatically updae the clock on Windows 98 machines. Wih Windows XP, it has is own sync software built in so you don't need this. Double click on the time on the lower left and it is the third pane.

Network Time Protocol (NTP) Explained. Windows XP has a time synchronization utility. Very valuable for geeks like me to have my watches exactly on time. Doesn't work on my HP XP machine, but does on my home one. It complains about being in the wrong stratum. Didn't understand this until I read all about NTP at this URL.

Panel PCs Prices.Best price list for Panel PCs, they are expensive at $3,000 for a 15" LCD with a PC in it, but haven't checked them all out yet. These are in Australian dollars, but give you a sense of cost.

Build Your Own Mini-PC. OK, so I fried Alex's computer by plugging in the power supply. Replaced it, but I'll need another. I bought a monitor already, soee the next blog, but now is the time to build another machine. Thank goodness, Tom's Hardware gives me the spec for a micro machine with a Flex ATX board. Pretty cool.
